Imagine worshipping in an atmosphere of total inclusion and acceptance, where you are welcome, in fact encouraged, to ask questions , and where you are implored to be as nonjudgmental of your neighbor as he or she is of you.

Services are traditional and conducted primarily in Hebrew, with some English passages sprinkled in for further understanding. The truth is that only each individual among us knows how he or she best communicates with G-d. At Chabad the language you use or the pace you set for yourself are not of paramount importance.

Since 1994, Chabad-Lubavitch of Greater Boynton has pioneered a monumental, community building effort. A once vacant and rather deserted region has been transformed into a showcase of a traditional Jewish Community.

Through Chabad’s Campus for Living Judaism, a burgeoning oasis of traditional Jewish life has been created in the heart of Palm Beach County, Florida. Hundreds of observant families, and tens of thousands of Jews, surround Chabad’s campus. Each month brings more and more new families to our community.

Through its legendary acceptance of each Jew, Chabad has impacted the lives of countless thousands. It continues to ambitiously expand its outreach, to thousands, on an annual basis.

Generations of more committed Jews continue to be molded because in essence, that is what we have done, do, and will continue to do, in an ever increasing manner."Chabad seems to be on a non-stop mission, it just never stops" exclaims Burt Aaronson, the County Commissioner.

The beauty of our community is the kaleidoscope of all types of Jews. From the fully observant to those who have never been exposed to their Jewish heritage, Chabad’s unique style has endeared all types of Jews and has brought them together in a cohesive, meaningful and warm, family like environment.

A recent demographic study cites Boynton Beach, Florida as having the fastest growing Jewish population in Palm Beach County - itself the fastest growing Jewish community in the United States.

follows the principles of Conservative/Masorti Judaism and as an egalitarian congregation, we have  been very successful in maintaining a healthy balance between tradition and the  contemporary world.

Our roots are strong with an active lay leadership.  When you come to services, you will find we have a warm and welcoming community  embrace for everyone, guests and members alike.  This embrace is symbolically represented in our logo of the flowing hug of the tallit; the traditional prayer-shawl worn by Jews during morning services.  The knotted tzitzit on the four corners remind us that we are tied to each other and to the wider community in which we live.  The tassels and knots of the tzitzit are symbolic of the mitzvot, the religious responsibilities we have to appreciate our heritage and remind us of our special relationship with the world.

Congregation Beth Shalom was born in the spring of 1990 at an open meeting of 10-15 families from Brandon and the surrounding areas who were seeking to form a temple of their own. Like nomads in the desert, every meeting and every decision was made in various people's homes. We had no real home of our own. Through much trial and error, hundreds of phone calls and tireless work, Beth Shalom was chartered, incorporated and became an integral part of the Brandon community.

During those early times, we had to knock on doors and ask perfect strangers for the use of their buildings so we could pray and teach our children. We forever remain grateful to those who assisted us. After much fundraising and planning, Congregation Beth Shalom moved into their new home in September of 2000, just in time for the High Holy Days. It was a proud and glorious moment. It is there that we stood in our own building at 706 Bryan Road asking for forgiveness and expressing thanks for our good fortune. We stood in awe, facing our ark which houses our oldest congregant, our Torah. It was inscribed in Poland over 200 years ago. It represents the lifeline of our religion and symbolizes our strong presence in the greater Brandon area. Our synagogue as it now stands houses our sanctuary and classrooms for religious school. It is both exciting and fulfilling to be an integral part of an ever-growing new congregation. Join us and share the experience.

In the summer of 2005, an eclectic, determined group of Jewish friends met to discuss their idea of forming an inclusive Jewish congregation that would be member

Operation Hours: Fri Evening Services,Shabbat Morning Services,High Holidays
Phone: 561-488-8079

Shirat Shalom which means 'Song of Peace' is a family centered, affordable congregation, which promotes Jewish and spiritual growth. We focus on nurturing our children in the development of their Jewish identities  in a warm and intimate community.

Shirat Shalom was established in 1998 as an alternative to the traditional synagogue model.  As a "congregation without walls," we are able to keep membership minimal and focus on our mission to return to the  spiritual roots and  values  of Judaism which we call "Judaism of the Heart."

Our children help  lead
Friday Evening Services, which are held at the Olympic Heights Community High School in West Boca Raton.   Shabbat Morning services are  hosted by members in their homes. High Holy Days and festivals  include member participation.

Our Congregation is egalitarian and our services and ceremonies follow a  Reform format while incorporating traditional, modern and innovative Jewish influence. All life cycle events are celebrated.

We offer  Religious School classes starting  from Kindergarten through Confirmation, Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation, including an online tutoring  program for children not enrolled in school or who may live out of the area or out of  state.  For our adults, we offer adult education classes, an adult
Torah study  group and a monthly Meditation and Healing Circle.

Ohev Shalom Congregation was founded and incorporated in 1960 by Rabbi Pinchas A. Weberman who started with a group of 12 families living in the north end of Miami Beach.

Services were first held in the living room of an apartment on Abbott Avenue. It moved to the Florida room of the Landow family home on Collins Avenue and 78th Street. In December of that year it moved to a rented storefront at 911 Normandy Drive.

In 1965, property was bought on Bonita Drive and plans were drawn for the construction of a sanctuary by Isaac Sklar, then a recent immigrant from Cuba.

Construction commenced; and continued as funds were raised. The structure was completed in time for occupancy for the High Holidays of 1967. Its unique architecture and its magnificent interior makes it one of the outstanding Orthodox synagogues in South Florida.

SOJC is genuinely one of the friendliest and most incredibly warm congregations you will ever find. While relatively small in number, our heart is big and our strength is palpable! We are a family-centered, fully-egalitarian, modern-conservative congregation. Did we say we’re children-friendly? Our Religious School proudly teems with a disproportionately large number of children given our congregation’s size! We have Kadima and USY youth groups, as well as our celebrated Cantorial Corps of teens!

SOJC’s Friday night services are highly participatory, with a healthy dose of English readings and lots of singing — often led enthusiastically by our children and teens! We have a fabulously strong core of active members and love to showcase our huge number of teen and adult Torah readers on Saturday mornings. We openly and warmly welcome inter-faith couples and Jews by choice as we strive to provide a comfortable atmosphere that encourages interfaith families to be active. We proudly say “SOJC is the religious compass on Southwest Orlando’s Jewish campus” as the new Jewish Community Center is literally next door!

Temple Ahavat Shalom

1575 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, Florida, United States

Palm Harbor, Florida, was a small rural town in 1976 when Temple Ahavat Shalom was founded. Although located only 10 miles north of Clearwater and 20 miles east of Tampa, Palm Harbor was only connected to the Tampa Bay region by a narrow two lane road. At that time, the Jewish community was very small. With the growth of west central Florida that occurred in the late 1970’s and 1980’s, Palm Harbor became a flourishing suburb of Clearwater and Tampa. As the general population grew, so did the Jewish community.

Temple Beth-El has been serving the reform Jewish community of Florida's Suncoast since 1928.

Located in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida, our Synagogue offers a dynamic spiritual and social meeting place for families and individuals of all ages. Founded by a small group of dedicated community leaders who were among the first Jewish settlers on Florida's West Coast, our Temple has come to stand for renewed spiritual growth, outreach and service to the community.

The membership outgrew its original small home in downtown St. Petersburg, moving to our present location in 1955, and completing the Religious School addition in 2002 to meet the needs of our 430 families.

Today, the Temple is the hub of family life, rich with diverse educational, social and religious programs for the youngest members to those very young at heart.

Temple Beth El of Hollywood is not like any other temple in town. It’s a small congregation in the heart of East Hollywood with a true neighborhood feel. When you walk through the doors at Temple Beth El of Hollywood you immediately get a warm sensation like you’ve finally found your home away from home. Although the synagogue is progressive, it still brings back memories of the first time you heard the Torah chanted or tasted the sweet challah bread. Kids laugh here. All the grown-ups are friends. And the Rabbi and Cantor are real people.

Temple Beth El of Hollywood is a house of worship, but it’s also our home.

We welcome you to join us. We offer something for everyone from preschool to adult education classes, interest clubs, prayer groups and social action programs. Stop by sometime and say Shalom. We’d love to meet you!

Temple Beth Israel is many things: a beautiful house of worship, a beehive of activity for educational, cultural and social programs, a place to share, celebrate and pursue tikkun olam, a staunch supporter of the State of Israel, an opportunity to experience our precious Jewish heritage through a range of stimulating dimensions

Though the Temple serves as the Center of Jewish Life on Longboat Key, Beth Israel includes members from Sarasota and Bradenton. Temple Beth Shalom

Winter Haven, Florida, United States

Temple Beth Shalom was founded in 1982 by a small group of Jewish families who recognized the need for a Reform Jewish identity in Polk County, Florida.

Located in central Florida along the I-4 Corridor, Polk is sometimes considered a part of the Tampa Bay Area; however, some of its eastern communities have closer ties to the Greater Orlando metropolitan area. Though the majority of our members are from the two largest cities, Lakeland and Winter Haven, we also have members from Haines City, Auburndale, Bartow, and Lake Wales.

Beth Shalom is a welcoming congregation. Our greatest benefit might be our size: we are large enough to satisfy the needs of our members yet small enough to provide a relaxed setting with genuine warmth and friendliness. In a region where Jewish people comprise a very small minority, Beth Shalom is our extended family. Interfaith families are welcome.

Temple Israel was established in 1924, and congregants worshiped in three older buildings. In 1953, Temple Israel affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. the current riverside site was purchased in 1958 and the new Temple was dedicated in September 1981. As the congregation has grown over the past eight decades, our members' needs have changed. The evolution of Temple Israel reflects our ability to change. As Palm Beach County experienced growth and change, so did we. In 2003, we moved north to our new home at the Hoffinger Campus on Hood Road in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In keeping with the dynamic energy of Reform Judaism, we began a new journey and a new chapter in our history.

Since its founding, Temple Judea has been committed to honoring the ancient traditions of Judaism while acknowledging the relevance of those traditions, the Torah, and our own spirituality in an ever-changing secular world.

Established in 1948 as the Coral Gables Jewish Center, Temple Judea has come a long way and is proud to still serve as the only Reform congregation in Coral Gables.

While we enjoy many assets as a congregation, Temple Judea's greatest strength is the diversity of its membership. Boasting more than 630 households, we take pride in welcoming all who choose to worship, learn, and socialize within our walls. We reflect our diverse and changing world, welcoming singles, families, intermarried families and Jews by choice.

Throughout its history, Temple Judea has maintained its unique character. It is large enough to meet the varied needs of its members. Yet, it is small enough to create a warm and inviting atmosphere - a place where "everybody knows your name."

Temple Solel was founded in March, 1970 and has grown from its original membership consisting of 35 families to its present membership of over 350 families. Rabbi Robert P. Frazin became Temple Solel’s first Rabbi in 1971 and was spiritual leader of Temple Solel until his retirement in June, 2007. On August 1, 2015, Rabbi Jeffrey Salkin is being welcomed as Temple Solel’s senior Rabbi, with Rabbi Frazin as Rabbi Emeritus.

While worship services in the early years of Temple Solel were conducted in a local high school and then an elementary school, in 1975, Temple Solel dedicated its building located at 5100 Sheridan Street in Hollywood, Florida. The sanctuary underwent substantial renovations in 1997, at which time Temple Solel’s beautiful stained glass windows were installed.

Temple Solel and its members have been actively involved in the Hollywood and Broward communities, initiating the founding of the Inter-Faith Council of Greater Hollywood and the Broward Outreach Center for the Homeless.

The congregation’s rich and joyful expansion has led to fulfilling its name, Solel, “Pathfinder.”

Now in its 10th year, The Community Free Synagogue is a new and exciting model for the 21st century American synagogue: more a spiritual village than an organization! You don't "belong" to the synagogue- the synagogue belongs to you through your participation in the life of our congregation, whose mission is prayer, study and benevolent acts. We comfortably support ourselves through a spirit of volunteerism and by the generosity of the hundreds of households that make C.F.S. their congregational home and our area's largest Jewish congregation. Our music is vibrant, worship uplifting and highly participatory, and our setting relaxed and informal. There are no fees or charges for any of our programs or classes, and we do not solicit funds. At C.F.S. you will never "pay to pray."

Young Israel envisioned itself as much more than a conglomeration of synagogues. Young Israel was the first on secular college campuses, with over 20 kosher dining halls and intercollegiate programs. Young Israel created an Employment Bureau for Sabbath Observers, in an era when most employees were expected to work 6 days a week. At Young Israel’s headquarters in New York, arms were packed for the Haganah defense forces of the not-yet-born State of Israel. The Free Soviet Jewry Movement was championed by the leadership of Young Israel. Young Israel has always been fiercely Zionistic, and promoted the rights of Jews to live throughout the Land of Israel. Young Israel placed an important role in gaining broad acceptance for advocating for the commuting of Jonathan Pollard’s sentence.

Today the National Council of Young Israel provides professional advice and cost-saving initiatives to 135 Young Israel synagogues (and beyond), advocates for the interests and views of our 25,000 member families, trains aspiring rabbis, supports rabbis in the field with biweekly question and answer sessions, aides communities in rabbinic searches and relations, coordinates informative Gabbai2Gabbai conference calls, provides exciting Parsha Nation curriculum for synagogue youth groups, runs inspiring Achva Summer Teen Experiences, shares best practices through monthly e-publications Shul Solutions and The Practical Pulpit, runs a three division basketball league in the New York metropolitan area, and serves as the sponsor of four senior centers at Young Israel synagogues which feed, educate and recreate the generation that made Young Israel great.

Future plans include providing spiritual inspiration and connection for Young Professionals and training Ashkenazic rabbis how to serve their Sephardic congregants. We are committed to work to maximize the resources of the Jewish community by working with our colleagues at other Jewish organizations and Jewish institutes of higher education and to maintaining a standard of excellence in everything we do.
