The Friends of AMI Minyan, or simply the Minyan AMI or more colloquially "Zilbermann" or the "Zil" is a friendly Minyan in Strasbourg the Ground floor of 1 Silbermann Street , in the neighborhood Orangerie.
Emanation of the Minyan Blum 42 Avenue of the Black Forest, the association in its current form was created in 1967. It was created by various members of the consistory Community and the Orthodox Community Etz Chaim-, marking a commitment to openness and union.
Daily services are held according to the Ashkenazi rite and especially the Alsatian rite with all its specificities during particular times of the Jewish calendar.
If the morning Shabbat and holidays it is especially the faithful attached to this rite which constitute the backbone of the minyan during the week and on Friday evening, the Minyan is a true Jew lung area and welcomes the faithful who come for reasons of proximity, schedule or other convenience. We are also happy to receive tourists visiting Strasbourg.
Regular courses are also offered on weekdays and on Shabbat. The premises of the Minyan also served several times to temporarily host Batei-Midrash.
